Rossi brings innovation to Bauma 2025
Modena, March 12, 2025 - Rossi, an international leader in the design and manufacture of industrial gearmotors, confirms its participation in Bauma 2025, the world's leading event for construction machinery, building materials and mining technologies. The fair, to be held April 7-13, 2025 at the Munich Exhibition Center, will focus on digitization, alternative powertrains and sustainable construction, providing an ideal stage to showcase the most advanced solutions in industry.
Against this highly innovative backdrop, Rossi will present four cutting-edge solutions at booth 308 (Hall A3), each designed to address the most complex challenges in the construction and mining sectors, where operating conditions demand superior performance and absolute reliability.
Among the flagship solutions is the EP KING, a large planetary gearbox that finds application in heavy-duty environments such as heavy lifting and sugar mills. With a torque capacity of up to 3,000,000 N m, EP KING is designed to ensure extreme robustness and outstanding performance even under the harshest working conditions. It is ideal for applications where high strength and reliability are needed.
Alongside the EP KING, Rossi also presents the EP WINCH, a system designed specifically for driving winches that find applications in tower cranes and winder machines. EP WINCH is an innovative solution being launched that, thanks to its advanced design, ensures a high degree of reliability and guarantees high standards of productivity due to its wide range of allowable speeds. The Winch rotating housing gearbox is mounted directly inside the drum, drastically reducing the overall winch footprint and improving system integration. Nevertheless, maintenance operations are facilitated by modularity and universal design. At Bauma 2025, Rossi will preview a new version of this system, with production scheduled for later this year.
TorqueMeter, a torque sensor integrated into the existing gearbox, will also be on display at the Rossi booth at Bauma. Mounted on the low speed shaft of the gearbox, the TorqueMeter is based on strain gauge technology to monitor applied torque in real time with signal transmission via a contactless telemetry system. This solution is ideal for continuous-duty cycle applications, such as in industrial plants and heavy lifting machinery, where precise measurement of load torque is essential for monitoring machine efficiency, recording load conditions, or planning maintenance with a view to preventing plant damage.
Finally, Rossi presents its new range of Drive Units, with components mounted on redesigned base plates/swing bases with a view to modularity and standardization. Revisiting the foundations also aimed to reduce masses and optimize stiffness to minimize the deformation of the structure under stress. The result is improved performance and a benefit in sustainability. The Drive Unit is completed with the integration of standardized IEC motors and proven gearboxes ensuring the assembly reliability, easy and fast installation, and low maintenance. Optimized costs, increased efficiency and durability ensure the new Drive Units have a low total cost of ownership and maximum reliability.
Visitors to Bauma 2025 will have the opportunity to explore Rossi's advanced solutions in detail, with live demonstrations and the chance to engage directly with the company's experts to find out which product best meets their operational needs. Don't miss the opportunity to experience firsthand the innovation and quality that Rossi continues to offer in the construction and mining sectors.
